Obituary for Woodrow King

Woodrow King, 77, of Grayson, KY, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021, at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. He was born September 20, 1943, in Grayson, a son of the late Kenneth and Marie Bowling King.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters; Evon Carper, Irene Willhoit, Estella Fletcher, Jane Magaw, and Eleanor Jackson; three brothers, Ed, Glen, and Ricky King; a son-in-law, Marty Wetzel.

He was of the Christian faith and was an electrician with Armco Steel for 32 years. He was an outdoorsman and loved to fish. He was a member of the Willard Masonic Lodge # 626, a member of the El Hasa Shrine, and a Scottish Rite 32nd Degree Mason.

He is survived by two daughters, Melissa (Leighton) Naff of Lexington, KY and, Melinda Wetzel of Louisville, KY; a brother, Kenneth King Jr. of Ohio; a granddaughter, Parker Wetzel.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 24, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson, Bill Bush, minister. Burial will follow in East Carter County Memory Gardens in Grayson, KY . Serving as pallbearers will be; Tom Carper, Butch Marcum, Jimmy Porter, Nick Waggoner,Allen Justice, Jim Heaberlin, and Danny Gifford.

Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
