Patty Lou Lucas Skaggs
1948-2022
Patty Skaggs, 74, of Grayson, passed on to her saviour, Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at her sister's residence in Grayson. She was born April 4, 1948, in Grayson, a daughter of the late Everett and Cresia Glancy Lucas.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John B. Skaggs; two sisters, Delores Sparks, and Virgie Lucas; a grandson, Daniel Skaggs.
Patty was a housewife, mother and amazing grandmother. She was of the Nazarene faith and attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Grayson. She loved her yard sales and rummage sales. In her last days she was lovingly cared for by her sister, Bonnie, niece and nephew, Alisha and Dylan.
She is survived by two sons, J.(Michelle) Skaggs and James Skaggs both of Grayson; three brothers, Larry, Ricky, and Tommy Lucas all of Grayson; two sisters, Rosie Adams of Webbville, and Bonnie Lucas of Grayson; three grandchildren, Shadow (Rebekah) Skaggs, Jayden Skaggs, and Raven Skaggs; two great-grandchildren, Izack Messer, and Kady Skaggs.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 21, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home, Charles Bayless, minister. Burial will follow in the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Shadow Skaggs, Izack Messer, Dylan Gallion, T.J. Lucas, Tony Lucas, and Rob Taylor.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 21, 2022, 12:00 p.m. till service time at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Carter Christian Academy, P.O. Box 490 Grayson, KY 41143 where Patty’s four grandchildren received a quality Christian education.
