Obituary for Lydia Nunley (Anderson)
Lydia Nunley, 76, of Rush, KY passed away Friday, May 20, 2022 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. She was born December 26, 1945 in Pikeville, KY to the late Howard and Francis Justice Anderson.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Nunley, Sr.; four brothers, Howard Anderson, Jr., Willie Anderson, Clifford Anderson, and Lee Anderson.
Lydia was a member of Grayson Church of God and was previously a seamstress for Cowden Mfg. of Olive Hill. She cherished her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons, Phillip (Jamie) Nunley, Jr. of Ashland, Joseph (Trish) Nunley of Rush, and David Nunley of Elliott County.; four daughters, Joretta (Larry) Mullholand of Frankfort, Nancy (John) Hawse of Rush; Lydia Pennington of Rush, and Tiffany (Cody) Adkins of Rush; two brothers, Hassel Anderson, and Turner Anderson both of Pikeville; four sisters, Martha Trimble of Boyd County, Margaret Anderson of Florida, Christine Fields and Jeraldine Brown both of Pikeville; seventeen grandchildren, Ginny, Steven, Daniel, Brenden, Chris, Alex, Dylan, Madison, Elijah, Calian, Abby, Caleb, Kristina, Christopher, Kayla, Jacob, and Jered; four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson, Alberta Stephens officiating. Burial will follow at the Cribbs Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
