Jon Franklin Burchett, beloved son, father and husband born on August 28, 1973 passed away on January 16, 2023.
Jon loved his wife, Annie Wolfenbarger Burchett and his son, Benjamin Jacob Burchett. They were the apple of his eye.
Jon was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Franklin Burchett of Carter County.
He will be so missed by his mother, Florence Burchett of Carter County; his sisters, Kim Larson of New York, Teresa (Walter) Romans of Carter County and Rhonda Burchett of Carter County; his in-laws, Frank and Melinda Wolfenbarger of Boyd County, Chandra (Christopher) of Boyd County; all his nieces and nephews, Kayla (Cody) Justice of Carter County, Samantha Romans of Carter County, Katherine Romans of Carter County, Sydney Stroth of Boyd County, and Hayden Stroth of Boyd County; alongside many friends and other family.
Jon was an avid hunter, loved the mountains, active in beekeeping, and Jon loved all his animals he had over the years. Jon enjoyed gardening with his son, attending auctions, and visiting Tennessee often.
He lived for spending time with Jacob, spending all the time he could with his son. Jon was a great father!
Jon was an honest person with high integrity, had strong morals and was a great citizen of Grayson. Jon also owned and operated a local business within the community as well, JB’s Computer Repair. He was a friend to all that knew him. He was a good man and stood up for any injustice that he could see. He loved his country. Jon left a loving legacy to his wife, son, mother, siblings and his family. Earths lost is heavens gain.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson, Kyle Burchett, minister. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be; Colin Howell, Curtis Howell, Christopher Stroth, Glenn Ison, Jeff Mieszkwoski, and Phillip Green. Honorary pallbearers will be; Jacob Burchett, Hayden Stroth, and Terry Munson.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
