John Houck, 81, of Grayson, KY passed away Friday, May 5, 2023 at his residence. He was born April 22, 1942 in Ashland, KY to the late Herman and Paula Booth Houck.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Brenden Houck; a sister, Gypsie Adkins.

John was a construction superintendent with Podojil Builders, Inc. in Cleveland, OH and proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Bays Houck; three sons, Matthew H. Houck of Ashland, KY, John P. Houck of Los Angeles, CA, and Aaron Burton of Webbville, KY; four daughters, Heidi Houck of Grayson, KY, Desiree Houck of Morehead, KY, Deanna Mabry and Regina Jackson both of Grayson, KY; a sister, Denise Baker of Grayson, KY; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, May 8, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson, Eddie Wiler, minister. Burial will be Thursday, May 11, 2023 at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Grayson with military honors.

Visitation will be Monday, May 8, 2023 from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.
