Jessie Ison, 14, of Olive Hill passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at her residence. She was born November 26, 2008 in Ashland, KY; the daughter of Daniel and Ashley Henderson Ison.
Jessie was an eighth-grade student at East Carter Middle School in Grayson. Jessie was very artistic and loved drawing cartoon characters. She had been labeled a modern-day "Flower Child". She was of the Christian faith and attended the United Pentecostal Church in Grayson.
Surviving in addition to her parents; three sisters, Amber (David) Gullett of Okeechobee, FL; Kyla Henderson and Danielle Ison both at home; Paternal grandparents, Denny and Joninice Ison of Grayson; Maternal grandparents, Les and Tina Henderson of Olive Hill: Paternal great-grandmother, Anna Carter of Grayson; and Maternal great-grandmother, Velva VanHorn of Ohio.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 12, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson.
There will be a private service Monday, March 13, 2023, at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson.
