David Blanton, 39, of Grayson passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021. He was born August 31, 1981 in Morehead, KY; a son of David C. and Katherine Wagoner Blanton.

David is preceded in death his paternal grandfather, Leonard Blanton and maternal grandparents, Oscar and Violet Wagoner.

David was a scaffold builder for Marathon Refinery and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Sarah Blanton of Grayson; two sons, David Whyatt Blanton and Gabriel Thomas Blanton both of Rush; a brother, Richard Maxwell (Tera) Blanton of Ashland; two sisters, Amanda (Adam) Willis of Garrison, KY, and Amy (Mason) Felty of Rush; his companion, Jamie Nunley and stepchildren, Kayla Nunley and C.J. Nunley all of Grayson; in-laws, Mickey and Denise King; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Tuesday April 20, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson, Mickey King, minister. Burial will follow in the Cribbs Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at the funeral home.
