1950-2021
Danny Coleman, 70, of Catlettsburg, formerly of Rush, KY, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. He was born April 4, 1950, in Rush, KY, a son of the late Daniel and Martha Sexton Coleman.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, the mother of his children, Carole Jane Thornberry Coleman, and a stepson, Eddie DeBoard.
Danny was a bus driver for the Carter County School system for many years. He was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Kay Smith DeBoard Coleman; two sons, Darrell Coleman and Chris (Lisa) Coleman, both of Grayson; two daughters, Kim (Shawn) Flannery of Rush, and Stephanie (Chris) Neff of Grayson; three stepsons, George (Rhonda) DeBoard of Catlettsburg, David (Tammy) DeBoard of Ashland, and Mark (Alanna) DeBoard of Bellefonte; a stepdaughter, Kristy DeBoard of Ironton, OH; fifteen grandchildren, Ashley (Ethan), Brianna (Trevor), Cameron (Jennifer), Hope, Teddy (Aneca), Kodie (Courtney), Aaron, Alex, Katelyn (Kyle), Jacob, Zachary, Millie, Ashley, Jackie (Thomas), and Justin; eighteen great-grandchildren, thirteen step-grandchildren, five great step-grandchildren, and one step great great-grandson.
His funeral service and webcast will be Saturday, March 6, 2021, at the Sparks Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m., Mickie King, minister. Burial will follow in the Coalton Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, George DeBoard, Shawn Flannery, Chris Neff, Ethan Nunley, Trevor Stroud, Allen Davis, and Bobby Davis
Visitation will be Saturday at 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
