Cynthia (Cindy) L. Pettus, 58, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, previously of Marysville, Kansas, passed away on June 26, 2023, unexpectedly at her home.
Cindy was born on June 2, 1965, to Carol S. Stumbo and Maurice D. Pettus in Petersburg, Virginia.
Cindy worked many years in a variety of places as a CNA, and later as a CMA after obtaining her CMA licensure, she enjoyed caring for and helping anyone who needed a helping hand. To know Cindy was to know love.
Cindy had many hobbies including fishing and watching the Nascar races but her favorite thing to do was to be a mother and a grandmother.
She was predeceased by her mom, Carol, her father, Maurice, two brothers, Gary and Jackson, two sisters, Robin and Melanie, a stepsister, Sheree, and a nephew, Rikki.
She is survived by her stepdad, Ray Overton of Waterville, Kansas, son, Kevan of Olive Hill, Kentucky, a daughter, Casandra (Mitchel) of Spearville, Kansas, and bonus daughter Krystle (Rocky) Salyers of Olive Hill, Kentucky, four grandsons, David (Jr.), Anthony, Wyatt, and William and five granddaughters, Ashlee, Ashlynn, Aiva, and Aliyannah, Sage.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to New Hope Church. A memorial fund has been set up at Citizens State Bank, Waterville, Kansas, donations can be made at any of the locations.
There will be a celebration of life July 7 at 1 pm at First Church of Christ in Grayson, Kentucky.
There will also be a service on July 13 at 10:30 am at the New Hope Church in Marysville, Kansas.
