Obituary for Calvin Wayne Johnson
Calvin Johnson, 68, of Grayson passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY. He was born January 30, 1954, in Grayson; a son of Orilla Maggard of Grayson.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jason C. Johnson, and his maternal grandparents, Luther and Mable Johnson.
He was a heavy equipment operator.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Janice Gannon Johnson; three sons, Chris (Tammy) Johnson of Grayson, Samuel (Victoria) Johnson of Ashland and Sean Johnson of Grayson: two daughters, Patricia (Dale) Marshall of Greenup and Leann (Jeff) Stinnett of Grayson; a step-daughter, Danielle (Shaun) Clifton of Ashland; two brothers, Ernie Johnson and Anthony Maggard both of Grayson; five sisters, Elaine Maggard of Grayson, Althea (Tyrone) Courson of Andalusia, AL, Connie Maggard of Stamping Ground, KY, Vickie Maggard of Grayson and Charlesetta Maggard of Grayson; nine grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home, Paul Holbrook, minister. Burial will follow in the Cribbs Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be; Ernie, Jeff, Christopher, Sam, Sean, and Lee.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 29, 2022, 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
