1958-2022
Bret Stapleton, 63, of Grayson, passed away at his residence Monday morning, February 14, 2022. He was born December 17, 1958, in Chillicothe, OH; a son of the late Joe and Norma Jean Dawson Stapleton. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Michael Stapleton, and a brother, Mark Stapleton.
He was a member of the Gregoryville Christian Holiness Church and worked at Kentucky Power in Louisa, Ky for many years. He loved old classic cars and old machines.
Bret is survived by his wife, Glenna Plummer Stapleton; a daughter, Kayla (Billy) Middleton of Olive Hill, KY; two sisters, Kathy (Earl) Kiser and Bernadette (Paul) Brown both of TN; two grandchildren, Logan and Katey Middleton; a sister-in-law, Terri Stapleton of Grayson; a brother-in-law, Phillip Plummer of Olive Hill; several nieces and nephews, also a special friend, Richard Neace.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson, William Logan Jr., minister. Burial will follow in the Littleton Cemetery at Gregoryville.
Visitation will be Friday, February 18, 2022, 6:00 p.m.until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Face coverings are required indoors.
